About Brian Simpson

Brian Simpson is a wealth manager, stock market expert and consultant in areas of tax minimization, retirement planning and philanthropic giving. Based in Spokane, WA Brian has 20 plus years of investing and financial services experience. His experiences in college and professional tenure developed a strong belief that commissions do not benefit clients.
Born and raised in San Diego, Brian has lived in Las Vegas and Los Angeles before settling in Spokane, WA in 1992. He received his degree in May, 1992 from San Diego State University in Business Administration with an emphasis in financial services. His investment professor Dr. William Nye opened his eyes to the world of investing and credits him with developing his career track early on.
He has been married 15 years to his college sweetheart Angela. They have seven children; Emarc , Mackenzie, Dane, Christelle, Eckahelo , Kobe and Lucy. We are all members of Saint Augustine Parish; my children attend Cataldo Catholic School where I volunteer once a week in the classroom. Our family enjoys basketball, soccer, boating and fishing together.
Emarc, Christelle and Eckahelo were adopted from Haiti. The living conditions in Haiti are extremely poor and God put it on our hearts to provide these children a loving, stable family that would give them a better life. It is always better to give than to receive and seeing them grow and embrace their new family life is truly a blessing. Seeing the needs of Haitian children and not one to sit back without taking action, Brian helped Co-found a 501(c)3 to help orphans. HCRM Fund Raising Committee is devoted to raising funds to build a new orphanage that will house 200+ children and employ 20+ in a country with over 70% unemployment. EMI Ministries developed a plan for future building; Brian encourages you to take a look at: www.theyoungsatemi.blogspot.com/ to get a glimpse of the concept.
Brian’s Ideal Clients:Brian tailors his “boutique” firm to high net worth individuals and high income earners who are prudent savers and investors. These clients value being treated like an asset and not a commodity; they expect and deserve superior service, timely answers to their questions or concerns regardless of perceived importance. His clients demand to know how their portfolio is performing on a regular basis and the online tools to research inpendently or with Brian’s assistance. His clients value a close on-going relationship where their needs are always put first.
Brian’s years of experience in researching and analyzing the financial markets have given him a keen sense of opportunities, risks and contrarian views. This has been refined over the last eight years while managing assets in excess of $175 million for high net worth clientele during his fourteen year tenure at Charles Schwab & Co., Inc. He is fully licensed as a series 65/66 investment advisor, series 7 representative, series 9/10 office manager and life/health insurance representative.
Reasons to hire Brian as your Investment Advisor:
1. Focus on active asset allocation: If 2008 taught Brian only one thing about investing it is this. During periods of economic upheaval i.e. major financial firms collapsing, requires taking your foot off the gas pedal and moving over to the slow lane. Overweighting cash, bonds and possibly bear market ETF’s were warranted.
2. Expertise: Brian has 20 years experience working with high net worth individuals, corporations and retirement plans. Let that experience guide you too.
3. Ethics: Trust painstakingly built can be lost in a moment. Understanding this is critical truth, Brian upholds the highest standards of integrity and honesty in every area of his business.
4. Client first focus: As a fee-based advisor, he embraces a fiduciary standard. It is important to eliminate all conflicts of interest. One way Brian accomplishes this is to offer his services on a percentage of assets under management basis. This means that no matter what the investment recommendation, his fee remains constant. The only way Brian may grow revenue is to grow his clients' assets. This arrangement puts Brian and his clients on the same side of the table.
